This morning I received Rep. Carl Wimmer’s newsletter that provided a good update on the legislative session and the many bills that were set in the fundamental principles of the 10th Amendment. We wish to thank the members of the Patrick Henry Caucus, Rep. Wimmer, Gov. Herbert, and all of you who support a restoration of federalism.

| 2010 session “The year of the 10th amendment.”
Hello my friends,
The 2010 Legislative session is over, and I wanted to give you a small wrap-up of what occurred. This year had a resounding theme, State sovereignty matters! The 10th amendment to the Constitution is as important as the others, and Utah is not putting up with Washington D.C’s heavy hand any longer!
In some small part, the movement was perpetuated by The Patrick Henry Caucus, which was founded right here in Utah. Here is a link to a nice write-up about me and the part I played this session, from the Salt Lake Tribune. http://www.sltrib.com/ci_14630017?IADID=Search-www.sltrib.com-www.sltrib.com
The Patrick Henry Caucus had twelve priority bills which we had taken formal positions on at the beginning of the session, they were:
SB11 Utah State-made Firearms Protection Act
SJR6 Joint Resolution – State Sovereignty & 10th Amendment
SCR3 State Sovereignty Concurrent Resolution
SB25 P0litical Party Bylaws – United States Senators
HB67 Health System Amendments
HCR2 Concurrent Resolution on States’ Rights
HB324 Public Lands Litigation
HB143 Eminent Domain Authority
HB234 Opting Out of the Real ID Act
HCR17 Concurrent Resolution Opposing the Use of Presidential Power to create new national monuments.
B146 Law Enforcement by Federal Land Management Agency
HCR14 R.S. 2477 Historic Roads Concurrent Resolution
I had come into the session hoping that out of the twelve, maybe three would pass. I am happy to tell you today that EVERY Patrick Henry Caucus priority bill passed and has been signed by the Governor!
We had a very successful session. I am grateful to you for allowing me to email you and keep you updated on where we were in our progress.
I am now going to move this newsletter to a campaign newsletter, sending out email on occasion to update you on my re-election campaign. I would encourage you to stay involved and in tune with me. Follow the campaign as we work for re-election.
Thank you,
Rep. Carl Wimmer
PS: Some of you asked where you may be able to contribute to my re-election campaign. I would ask you to consider doing so. I have been targeted by the far-left and they are NOT letting up. I could really use your help. There are over 300 people who get this newsletter, if everyone was able to donate even $50 it would make a huge difference. here is the link:
