A story today in USA Today begins, “Another congressional delegation went to the White House today to talk with President Obama about a health care bill — and another congressional delegation left without talking to reporters.” This is now the standard operating procedure for this administration’s efforts to force a form of health care insurance control through the legislative branch so the executive branch can sign it into law while the judicial branch no doubt stands ready to uphold it as Constitutional.
Many question whether the federal government can constitutionally control health insurance purchases by citizens of the United States. Career politicians, used to getting everything they want no matter, have had no supreme court ruling against the constitutionality of a law passed in nearly 70 years. They simply point to the commerce claws as proof they can, as they have since 1942. Debating whether or not it is constitutional will be a topic for another article another day. There is a more pressing question.
Can the Democratic Party, Congress, and the President of the United States draft, vote on, and sign into law jointly such an important aspect of our daily lives while avoiding tyranny? According to the teachings of Charles de Montesquieu, and many great minds since, the answer is no and, historically, always has been.
What we are all witnessing is factional control in plain sight. This is pure control by a few over many, the very definition of oligarchy. This is a direct departure from the Constitution each of those involved in the process swore an oath to defend. This is a violation of more than their oaths; it is a violation of the principles and laws we were to live by. There is no doubt this approach to government leads to the loss of every citizen’s self-governing freedom. History is a very good teacher, this lesson has been taught and sadly we are allowing it to move forward in plain view. The arrogance of power has so empowered the factions doing this they simply do not care what you or I think or see, we do not concern them.
Luckily there are some 22 states, including Utah, readying for a 10th Amendment show down. You see, horizontal separation of power is taking place but the federal arrogance has led those violating their oaths to forget the vertical safety built into our system. States are only subordinate to supreme law when that law is constitutional. Not only is federal control of health care insurance unconstitutional the very process surrounding the development of the legislation is as well.
Factional control by the two major parties and the few controlling the political process in this country has finally overreached their authority so blatantly citizens that have not seen the abuse in the past see it clearly now. States are finally, albeit slowly with great internal and external resistance, remembering their duty to keep factional control in check. As close as we are to tipping into representative democracy, oligarchy, and the final shredding of the Constitution historians will look to the health care insurance issue as the turning point. Restoration of self-governing, freedom based society is beginning. Over the next few decades it will happen. The one goal of the founding generation will be set again as a goal for ours; “…to secure the blessing of liberty to ourselves and our Posterity…”

Come on everyone!! If you have any decency in you at all you would be IRATE!!! We have a president in office that L I E S !!!! We have people in our government that are just DISPICABLE !! Now those who voted for this man are realizing what they gave the rest of us. TOO LATE!! He has done MORE DAMAGE since he took office than anything I have ever seen. He was off to the races from day one. Others tried to warn you, yet angry voters were he– bent on change. I give GREAT credit to those who are trying to stop this man and those who want to take down our country for their own greediness. No decent person better forget what is being pulled on us now and start to get rid of those in goverment come the 2010 elections. After we win this fight and get rid of these awful politicians, WE NEED TERM LIMITS.

I hate Obama. I think he is underhanded. I have never seen the government do something like this in my lifetime where the just ignored the people. Every poll shows that those that opposed health care won the debate yet the supposed democratic process reflects this? There is something wrong and I say that even if nullification efforts fail then it is our right to withhold consent of the governed over this issue.
